I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask, but do the regular Big Als store follow the specials or clearance prices published on the web?

Big Als online vs store prices?

In my experience, LFS will not honor or match on line prices. There is a reason that on line prices are cheaper and that is typically due to the fact that on line sellers have little or no overhead. They do not have store fronts, a ton of employees, large utility bills, etc. I have asked this question to LFS managers and they all say that they would be out of business if they sold items in their stores at the prices offered on line. You may get lucky and get someone to do a one time deal just to get your business in hopes that you will return, but I wouldn't count on them honoring these prices all the time. Hope you get lucky and get a great price!
Online product prices are normally cheaper, because the cost of shipping is factored in for each shipment. Store prices have shipping costs factored into the cost of each item.
So what you guys are saying is that Big Als local stores are operated completely independent from the online store from pricing perspective?
I think they are saying that you can't go into your LFS with a price from Petco online and ask them to match that price. I would imagine taking a price from Big Als Online into a Big Als store you have a good chance they will match the price.
I am pretty sure Petco / Petsmart will price match their website in store, just go ahead and ask, the worst they can do is say no.

Ok, so these guys don't operate like most chain stores where they synchronize prices... I may not be comparing apples to apples but places like Walmart would carry items at identical prices for each store and their online published prices would be the same too... In Canada, stores like Canadian Tire is operated by different owners for each store but prices are identical...
