I recently picked up a 50 gal. tank, as well as 2 "hanging" filters with Bio-wheels. And by picked up, I mean someone left it outside their house for passers-by to take.

The filters seem to be heavy duty, and they work, but I don't know what type of filters they are, if the are SW or FW, or their gpm, etc.

If you know anything about the filters, please let me know, thanks!

I would post the pictures, but there's about 10. Check here:

It looks like a Magnum HOT Canister filter Pro System (with Bio Wheel). If so, they're rated at 250 gph, so two should be perfect for a 55 gal.

Can anyone confirm this ID?

Thanks you guys, now all I need to do is order 2 more impeller assemblies. Apparently, iron is used in the magnet and when a little water penetrates the seal, it can burst from rust.

But hey, $30 or $200, right :)
