Bigger tank, Easier Cleaning???

I have heard that the bigger the tank (for the most part) is easier to do weekly maintenance than smaller tanks...for example an 30gal tank would be easier to do regular cleanings than an 10gal tank? I was wanting to know before I got a 20-30gal tank.

A larger tank that is stocked properly is more stable, so you dont really have to do as massive of a cleaning as you would a 2 gallon tank. That is why a larger tank is better for beginners. I am not saying that you dont have to do weekly/biweekly water changes, I am just saying that you have a more stable enviroment and more room to move when you have a larger tank. That will make cleaning easier.

I've never heard the easier the "maintenance" is. That'll pretty much be the same, still gotta suck out all the poop and food I think with bigger tanks, it's easier to maintain the water quality because there's more water in it, but that's also going to depend on the stocking level of the tank.

Maintenence isn't any easier, possibly harder depending on the size difference. But water params are more stable in a larger volume of water when considering similar stocking.

If the fish population stays the same and the tank is larger then yes. If there's more fish along with the larger tank, then you are right back to square #1. A large tank fully stocked can take a lot of time.

The large tank is a bit more stable and forgiving. I don't consider it easier in any since of the word.

i think it's easier as far as doing gravel vacs. . . .sometimes in a 10g tank the water goes out too quickly and you can't comkpletely clean the gravel. in a larger tank with more water you have more time to clean the bottom. i do 50% water changes.

It is much easier to clean a larger tank in the sense of that, and that you have more room to really get your arms and hands down in there to do the "dirty work".

I think you may have gotten "easier cleaning" mixed up with people who say that a larger tank is easier to take care of. To me, taking care of a tank means to have a stable underwater enviroment.

Stocking is most of it. But a larger tank IS far more forgiving and has a buffer of sorts to absorbe/dilute compounds and other issues such as algae/bacteria that a smaller tank will quickly crash on.
