Bio-Spira not working?

Oh no, I just did the 25% water change because I was scared of the nitrites but, I put more than half of it on the penguin bio wheel filter because I heard thats what you were supposed to do. So should I expect to see changes in about 24 hours and if not should I go buy more?

the one and only trick to cycling is to leave it alone. biospira is simply bacteria and they free float for however many days they want to. during this time they do comsume and multiply. if you took out water then you took out bacteria .. if you added ammonia, you might have overfeed them. try it again but dont do anything to the tank.. and if you want you can add a couple small fish

IMPO, and what has always worked for me with biospira, was to just do what the packet says. lol, just keep it refridgerated, make sure you have the right size packet for your tank, and dump it in. make sure the water is already conditioned(dont add at same time), wait overnight or a day or so just to be safe, test the water, (using something such as api master kits, dont use strips) and if alls well add fish. I've never had a problem
