Hey man i just set my first reef tank up in the 14 gallon nano cube also about two weeks, and i figured itd help you to know they work quite well and they look great. I actually have a FrogSpawn in there i just added which is doing very well and is awsome to see actually glow green in the dark. Heres pictures to show ya what you can do well worth the money man. I suggest getting a koralia nano though it helps out. I plan on taking the top off mine and adding a pendant light though.. the ligthing on it works good enough though!
I added the live rock first, then the sand, then the clean up crew... waited a week added a clown fish, and then after a another week i started adding the corals.. you just wanna get your alk between 8 and 12 and your calcium between 400 and 500 before adding corals then your good to go
If you buy sufficient live rock you really will only have, if at all, a mini cycle. I didn't really have a cycle per se. But still waited a bit (a week) just to make sure my water chemistry was good. Then I started adding coral. My tank is also a nano (24 gal aquapod). I swapped out the light to Metal Halides (which you will eventually get the bug to do as well (or t5)).
The only downside to nanos is the heat build up from teh enclosed lids. I had a heck of a time keeping mine in an non-lethal range. I ended up taking the top off when I got new lights and added a chiller. From what I can gather I took the more extreme route as most people look at me like I am nuts when I say I put a chiller on a nano tank... but it works great and the price was good for a chiller.
Good luck with your new tank. make sure to post pictures when you get it runnin'
