My stepdaughter Yvonne gave birth to a baby girl at 5:45 this morning. Anisette Emily Aldana weighs 8 lbs 3.2 ozs. Yvonne and Anisette are both doing fine. :D

That makes 16 grandchildren for us! :thud:

Hey, congrats, Sensei! I am just having my children, I can't imagine how fun grandchildren must be. Just think... kids you can send back...

Thanks all.

Yes, she's local.

I woke up around 3:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. We got a call from Yvonne around 4:30 to say she was getting ready to go to the hospital, so I went to her house to pick up their oldest daughter, Tawny. Yvonne and Albert left for the hospital around 5:00. I took Tawny to our house and we picked up Diane (my wife) and headed back to the hospital. By the time we got there, Anisette had already been born.

I've got one more week of 60 hour work-weeks then I'm dropping down into the 30-40 hour range partly so I can spend more time with the family. :)

I actually never raised any kids. Wife #1 and I didn't have any, and Diane's were all grown when we got together. Now I've got 5 stepchildren ranging in age from 23 to 31, and the 16 grandchildren ranging from 5 hours to 17 years. Odds are I'll be a great-grandfather by the time I'm 45!

Congratulations! At that point, I think I might start handing out pencils or apples as birthday and christmas presents!

Glad to hear all went well, too!

  16 grandchildren!! Wow!
And how wonderful for them that they have a stepgrandfather who is excited about it and wants to spend time with them. Children need all the concerned adults they can to be there for them! :)
