Does any one know anything about the black arowana. and where i could get one online. any info is good thank you.

black aros are like silvers, except they only reach about 3' and are slightly different color. They also grow slower and cost much more, depending on where you are about 150$ for an 8inch, and they are hard to find smaller than that since they are all wild caught. minimum tank size imo about 250g.

Well said.

I have a silver and a black.
Blacks are darker and more slender than a silver, grow slightly slower , and seem to be more skiddish. They are far less prone to getting drop eye.

Diet is the same as a silver (mainly meaty foods, pellets, and insects).
Price will range from $150-$200 for the small guys. As babies they are solid black, but as they grow the black moves out to their fins (with a pink/orange edge). Their scales do stay slightly darker than the sivlers.

You can find them a few places online, and even one of the fish stores close to me is carrying them ($200 for 6").
For a load of info and community sellers distributing them check out www.monsterfishkeepers.com.
