Black Cherry Shrimp?

I have a Fluval Chi that has been running for over two years now. I put 6 shrimp in it near the beginning with my betta and a java fern. I now have a pile of shrimp that are all kind of clear with a red hue but today while I was cleaning I saw two larger shrimp that are black along their sides and red along their back. Any insight on what is going on would be greatly appreciated.

Could just be some weird variation...wild rcs are brownish/black and this could just something random...like a 1/1000 chance...but if you can selectively breed those specific black/red striped rcs, I'm sure people would buy since it's something new! good luck!

They actually had some black cherry shrimp at my LFS last weekend. Research indicated they were a caridina variety, not neocaridina. I don't know if they're just similar to yours, or what.

Maybe I should put them in their own tank and see what happens, I have two or three. The shrimp in the link for the black cherry shrimp have their strips in the opposite direction to mine but I know nothing about shrimp species. http://discos-edosan.blogspot.ca/2011/11/atlas-de-camarones-gambas-enanos-de.html This blog has a picture of a shrimp that looks like mine, they call it a black cherry/black fire shrimp. I can't read Spanish though so I don't know what the blog says.
