if you dont have many other fish, the BGK will be fine for a few years at least. They grow pretty slowely. like the other guys said jsut make sure you have a lot of hiding spots.
I don't think stunting a fish is really appropriate.:shakehead: This is really objectionable and a lot of people will disagree to stunting their growth.the electricity feild is for locating food. is there anyway to stunt there growth so they dont get to big for a 55?
The BGK isn't nearly as aggressive as the clown knives (Chitala). They can handle the 84 degrees. I wouldn't recommend the mix though particularly because the BGK is often active and will at all accounts try to swim in different angles which might stress the discus but this is only my experience.What is the temprament of Knife fishes like the black Ghost and Clown? Whould they be too aggresive to put in a tank with some discus? Could they handle the 84 degree water? Sorry for the question within a question, but just curious...
