Black Ghost Knives!

I used to have a 13 inch black ghost knife. one night i bought some Neon tetras. the next morning they were all gone. don't make that mistake. lol. i didn't think he'd do it!!!

LOL, thank you for the tip :D

I would assume ina 10 gallon they would stay their current size, for maybe a year or so. maybe longer if the water was prestine and the food was good. But ultimately they would succumb to organ failure.

I hope all the ones at the pet store get bought and put into bigger homes. :(.

DojoQueen,
What you say may be true but I don't believe that the temperature parameters you speak of for dojos are quite as important as you think. The other two in the 410 are quite healthy and growing nicely. I have had them for about 3 months and they have never shown any signs of stress. And I may have seen that third one this evening. It's just very difficult to find all three of them at one time with wall to wall plants, including a particularly dense stand of Rotala that they love to hide in. I can't identify them individually and so must see them all at once in order to be certain they are all in there and that is pretty difficult with 25 square feet of substrate for them to lose themselves in! I have similar situations with 4 striped rafaels which I rarely see more than 2 of at one time and 4 Synodontis nigriventris which I once in a while see as many as 3 of. I have never found any dead bodies of any of these fish and they have so many hiding places that I figure they just aren't interested in showing themselves. In 7 months I have lost 2 fish (out of 80) and I did locate each of their remains. All of my fish have been quarantined for at least 2 weeks in smaller aquariums where I kept a good eye on them and they were in similar water conditions and eating well.
It would be nice to provide optimal conditions for each and every species but with clean, well filtered water, good foods, lots of space, abundant hiding places and appropriate tank mates my fish do very well. Now, if I could just claim as much success with plants! But I'm working on it.

That's great, but I do know about Dojos, and their lives are shortened now.
