hello,
i bought a fish tank just a week ago & was doing fine until today,
today my black molly fish gave birth to a few babies, since i never knew one of my fish was pregnant, i did not bother to buy a breeder box or net. so today when i saw the little babies, i hastily shifted them to a small jar to prevent them from being eaten, i managed to rescue only 5, i guess the rest were eaten. also i do not have another tank to move the babies.
what i would like to know is:
1)will my baby mollies survive in a small jar without an oxygen pump ? (i can arrange for something bigger, but i cant get another oxygen pump on it)
2)how many times a day do i feed them? (i usually feed dry worms)
3)how long will it take for them to be a good enough size so that they wont be eaten when i transfer them back ?
also the molly that gave birth seems to have developed a small white patch on its body- after some researching i found out that it could be ICK, please suggest a simple treatment for this ?
please respond,
thanks in advance
