My friend bought me a black moor goldfish unexpectantly. I have done some research on the fish, but i do not know if i can place the tank in my room. it says to store it at 18-22 degrees C, (66 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit) But my room on average in the summer ranges from 23-30 degrees C (75-86 degrees farenheit). Is the black moor a hardy fish? Should I place on my desk with full-sun or keep it in the shade?

Thanks

they are hardy but if gets pergent it will die after each babie is born. dont keep it in the sun or your having fish for lunch. i had 4 in a tank intell they died of old age.

A black moor is an egg scatterer and won't get pregnant. You are refering to a black molly.

Black moors are fancy goldfish and do best at temperatures of 75-76*F so you are fine. My goldfish right now have to endure temperatures of 82-86*F and are still healthy and hungry like usual. Black moors have terrible vision so feeding it might be a challenge but overall its a really nice fish.

Tha black moor is a hardy fish, but should not be given improper conditions becuase it will "live". You want your fish to thrive.

No, you should not place it on your desk. I highly doubt your desk will be able to hold the 250 pounds of water his tank should hold (fancy golds need atleast a 29g for one be healthy and thrive.

Oh ya, I wrote a complete newbie article, wich should help you and fill you in on everything you don't know.

i have a black moor, i found her to be a hardy fish. She survived after the filter in ther tank got turned off, due to power outage. She was the only one that survived out of 3 others. I have her in a tank in my sis old room near a window and ive had her 1 yr now.

I only weird thing with her is she turned orange on me. She gradually went from black to orange and shes now the size of a tennis ball. Last month she was the size of a ping pong ball and now she is the size of a tennis ball. I think mines a mutant, but i still love her.

I think youll really enjoy your fish.

Good Luck

My mollies never die after giving birth, most times they gave birth multiple times over the course of years

Actually, he said that his "black moor" died after each birth, making it quite the miracle fish!!!!!
