i have 2 black moores and over the last few days the one(ebony) keeps harassing the other(spot). I have had them for about 3 1/2 months and they havent acted in this manner. are they mating i don't know how to tell if they are m or f

Do they have enough space?

In a 29g with that bioload(ask roan), if anythin were to go wrong, amonia and nitrite will go through the roof, Exagerate that for a 20. A 10g is not nearly enough room for a goldfish of any variety, let alone 2.

Yep, I agree with dorkfish. Gold fish really need more space. They might have okay whe very small, but they are heavy "messy" fish and produce a lot of waist. Plus eve moors ca get to be sizable fish. I don't know how big they are now, but there is a good chances that they are stressed in a tank that size. 30 gallon min. size for growing moors.

20g isn't enough for two goldfish. 30g is the minimum and that's pushing the envelope. At 30g you *have* to do waterchanges of at least 50% per week or risk their health. Miss a waterchange and the tank will look like it was hit by a hoard of giant plecos.

They are very messy fish and require double filteration, even in a 40g tank.

well iin the 10 they had a 20g filter and they are still fairly small they are only 4 months old. well tomorrow they are going into the 20 which has a 40 gallon filter and in about another week i will have a 48 gallon tank i'm just waiting for it to arrive. thank you everyone for your insight.

The 48 shoul be great for them.
