Black or white sand?

I prefer black or mixed color sand (mixed natural colors, not florescent) because as the others have said it makes the fish stand out a lot more. Not only does white sand cause fish to wash out, it also shows more dirt/mulm than colored sand.

I got the white PFS........if I don't like it once I get the fish I will change it to black..lol oh the choices the choices. Thanks everyone who has replied, looks like I should probably go with black..I will in the end I'm sure lol

Like most said it really is what you like. I have tried both of the sands, play sand and the pool sand. I really don't care for either, but with that being said I would use the play sand over the pool sand because I really don't like the bright white of it. I am using the Black Diamond blasting sand from TSC at the moment. I like the black. I have read both good things and bad things about this so I decided to try it and see. So far so good. I do have corys and they are doing great in it.

LOL I know what you mean about choices, so many choices so few tanks :)

Updated with PFS substrate its really not that cloudy..my camera sucks
