Black Sharks.

I just purchased a "albino" black shark, though its not a true albino, maybe pied, or hypomelanistic, it has whit base color, some black speckles, some red/orange almost under the scales, and black edged fins and tail. Hes about 4".
I have found some general info on them, but nothing exclusive and in depth. Does anyone know any good links, books, or some info on them?
Hes currently in a 55G, and will be upgraded eventually.
How fast, on the average, do they grow? Best diet? Best enviroment? Any tank mates? Anything?
Also, how common are these so called albinos?

They get Big and as they age, they get AGGRESSIVE! but, man, they are one NICE fish. Dont know much else about them though. Im sure some other poeple would know though. check the usenets! www.google.com

You see, everything i have read said that they are peaceful. Go figure. Have you ever had one?
I tryed the google thing with not much info.
 
Black sharks get very big up to 24" and I heard very aggressive and will kill most other fish from what I have read. One of my favorite fish but from what I have read just too big and aggressive:(
 
I didn't follow the links posted so I don't know if this was said, but as far as tankmates go, I'd definitely keep away from other members of the immediate family (red-tail blacks, rubies, variegated) and other flat, slow moving fish as they tend to "suck off" their slime coating. I've lost several Polypterus delhizis before I caught mine in the act, as well as lost several plecos at the lfs because of them. And the sharks were just juvies. Pelleted foods and algae wafers are great prepared foods for them, as well as natural algae growth in the tank. As stated, they get quite large, so be prepared.
