I noticed that one of my Anubias plants has small black spots scattered on its leaves... does anyone know why this happened? They seemingly appeared overnight.

Anubia is famous for algae growth on the leaves, owing to the slow growth and longevity of the leaves.
Perfectly normal, although annoying. Algae eaters help, but rubbing it off yourself is required in most cases.
