I was at my lfs the other day and was looking in the Upside Down Cats tank. There were these awesome looking Black Synodontis in there. They werent messing with anything in the tank. I asked about them and the owner said they same in with the Upside Downs. I tried to look them up and couldnt find anything on them. They are pitch black and spend most of their time upside down. Anybody have any ideas?

yeah definately not a syno, mine likes to hide usually only see him cruise the tank after lights out. it is a gorgeous jet black though.

Asian UD cat's are an entirely different critter, though they do mix well with cichlids. Unless you plan on keeping a large group, stick with a single specimen. A small number will end up as a single sooner or later; they kill each other off in small groups.
