ive only used it once and i kept it on all night. its really not bright at all, but it is brighter than the complete darkness that he is used to.. even though parts of the tank still are in complete darkness.
having it on for only a couple of hours is a good idea.. i need to get a timer anyways, so ill just pick up a couple more than i originally intended to
