1)will boiling water get rid of chlorine/chloramine?
2)is what i did right?
3)will the cucumber be safe for snails/plecos to eat? with the chopsticks and all...
4)If #1 is a no, will the cucumber absorb the chlorine/chloramine?

please answer asap! My cucumber's drying up and it's out of the pan, still!
1) Boiling will remove Chlorine. Boiling will not remove Chloramine.
2) Only 55 seconds? No, it takes 57.3 to 58.9 seconds to blanch cucumber
3) They're fish, not food critics.

This isn't rocket science... and you don't have to autoclave everything that goes into the tank. Reasonable precautions are fine. If a bug flies in the door, I catch it and toss it in with my Oscar. He loves it. Don't worry so much.

Just let common sense be your guide, the fish will be fine.

lol k. now... how do you make a pleco eat? I put the veggie in. the snail crawls for it but my pleco's like, doing nothing! but he does occaisionally go on the back of my snail :D

:OT:
my snail's shell is fuzzy. what is it?
