I think one works.. the temp varies from 76.6 to 78.5...
I dont have the xtra coin for new heaters right now either...
might have to Mc Gyver something!!

Liiks like my digital thermometer pooped out on me..
I put 2 glass thermometers in the tank, and they both say 86F

Blasted cheap thermometer!!

I feel for ya! That happened to me, too. The temp. was at 92, and I lost about 6 or 7 fish. Brichardis and peacocks. I am going to go and get a couple of stealth visitherms. I heard they are really great.

*sigh* What you need to do is to get a few thermometers, just to make sure this doesn't happen ever again. Use glass ones and digital ones, just in case you have a EMP(electro magnetic pulse[it frys microchips]) wave go over your area, or like in your case, static( at least that's what I think) electricity kills your heater.
