Bleach, math, disinfecting plants

They're probably killing each other off.

Ahh, that makes me feel better, actually. It's true, I saw no signs of ich, columnaris, or any other disease I could identify, on the fish.

Red Tail Sharks don't tolerate their own kind in aquariums and it is commonly recommended that only one be kept per tank unless the tank is very large. They'll probably be left with just one eventually, anyway. The largest and/or most aggressive fish will win out. Are they raising/breeding them or something?

I doubt it. There must have been at least 30 red-tailed sharks in what looked like a 20 gallon tank. But this is how I commonly see this place keep its red-tails, and they always look pretty beat up. Don't get me started with this store. Numerous tanks are always infected with ich, other fish often have weird fungal-looking growths, and generally no one looks happy--except the employees, who appear blissfully ignorant.
I'll stop, since this rant's a bit off-topic, and really, I shouldn't have supported them by shopping there, anyway. :nono:
