Hello, two days ago I asked for some advice regarding my clown loach - he was bloated, respiring rapidly and flopping around at the bottom of the tank (thread called 'bloated clown loach'). He hasn't eaten since then and has largely stayed in his cave. I was just checking on him and I noticed that his anal region is very red and when he moved a thin white worm like thing came out of the cave. It was about 3 - 4 cm long but i didn't get much of a look at it before it got sucked up the water inlet.
In the previous thread, the suggestion was he might be suffering from the nitrogen cycle because I added them too early in the cycle. I was wondering now if he might have worms - but the descriptions i have heard of worms are that they are red and cause weight loss.
Current water parameters are ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10 ppm, pH 7.0. He has been sick for about 5 days now. 20G tank (I now know that this is way too small for the clown) running for nine weeks with 4 giant danios, 2 cories and 1 sick clown loach (not added all at once but probably too quickly from what i now know). I had a second clown loach which died just before this one got sick (similar symptoms but wounds on the head and mouth).
Any advice would be appreciated.
