I think that bloodworms are probably more nutritous as well, although I agree that the way they are stored/prepared probably impacts the nutrients. I always prefer frozen over freeze-dried.
Blood worms(freeze-dried or frozen), black worms(live), tubifex worms(freeze-dried),mysis shrimp(frozen) and ocean plankton(freeze-dried) are better alternatives to brine shrimp. Brine shrimp is an excellent treat, but I wouldn't use it as a staple food. It really doesn't offer as much nutritional value as the others listed. Live or frozen brine shrimp is better than the freeze-dried.
Black worms and ocean plankton are packed with protein and nutrients. Good stuff.
For fry, Cyclop-eeze really can't be beat. It's also a great food for gut-loading larger food items for bigger fish. I've gut-loaded crickets with this stuff and cichlids really snap them up.
