Earlier I went to petco to get a replacement Gold ram, but they didn't have any. The guy that was in the fish department let me get the German Blue as a replacement..Once I got him home and put into my tank... My 2 remaining golds started to attack and nip....I removed the blue ram and stuck him into my 10...(will be upgraded soon) I have a male HM betta in there. No issues so far.. plus the betta is new aswell.... The old betta that was in the tank had to be put down... he was suffering from fin rot that got into him spine... :[ Would the ram be fine till I upgrade the tank?

The Betta and ram are hiding in the same spot... No chasing or fighting that I've seen. I did fed the endlers and the ram ate a few flakes... So that's a good sign..I normally keep an eye on new fish...The betta is new and in hiding... and so is the ram.

I would keep a close eye on things if I were you. Betta typically don't get along well with other flashy fish. If the Betta is new then it might not consider the tank its territory yet, but as soon as he does there could be trouble. The bad thing with Bettas is that they don't usually harass other fish over time, they'll keep at it until their "enemy" is dead so you might not be able to catch it before its too late. On the other hand, GBR can be aggressive as well, especially in small spaces or when overcrowded so even if you have a docile Betta the GBR could attack him. He would most likely just nip at his fins and chase him, but that kind of stress isn't good for any fish. I would keep a close eye on things and move the GBR to another setup asap.

Cool deal. Yea from my experience GBR and golds don't mix too well unless you have a very large tank. Maybe you can take the GBR back and get credit for him and just wait until they have more golds?

I think I will keep him for the 20L... He was a replacement for the Gold I've lost, doubt I can get store credit on a replacement fish ... My other 2 golds formed a pair and killed the lone female, so I don't want to add other rams to the tank. I did put some bloodfin tetra into the 10 to distract the betta and ram from chasing each other, for now...

I suspect your primary issue was getting the new blue ram in with the existing gold was a territorial issue.
the gold ram is simply a color morph of the Blue ram.. both are Ramirezi and will exhibit the usual characteristic associated with the species.
they are, however, very territorial.
this is especially true if you have a pair forming.. the third ram will get terrorized by the pair and you will normally need to re-home the odd fish.
I keep several in a 75 with my discus there is enough room on the bottom that the rams get along fairly well.

you should keep a close eye on the mix with a betta..the ram may be ok with it..i suspect if a battle were to ensue the betta may not fair well. Rams are known to hold their own when housed with some larger tank mates... mine have no fear of angels or discus
