Okay, let's cut to the chase... I have a High tech 60 gallon acrylic planted tank. NPK dry ferts(esti.index. I have just started on this a week ago! Works good.), pressurized co2 (green), 3.2 wpg(11 hours a day)50% weekly water changes just begun recently(I used to wait 2 weeks....). Recently, I have been having a difficultly trying to remove this strange algae, every time I remove it by rubbing it off, it comes back;for the 3rd time now. I believe it's growing underneath my eco-complete substrate; It's not on the outside at all. I got lazy now and some areas where they infested is turning white....are they dying? I suppose I have been dosing dry ferts for the first time with KNO3 + nitrate fish waste(I believe my fish waste is enough, but meh...I wanna keep up with the index). Maybe they are dying because of nitrate at the moment?Just a assumption. These colonies generate bubbles when i mess with them... Any ideas of what this might be? Maybe something else? I have no slimy formations whatsoever above gravel level... I know for a fact I have not so good circulation just using a 305 fluval for a 60 gallon, I have cleaned my fluval 305 1-2 months ago for dissolved solids, detritis, etc...nothin out of the ordinary.. I have got to operate my eheim 2217 soon...The thing is....REX IS KILLING ME on the brass check valveeeeeee X_X. CO2 REACTOR...........I hope he gets well soon and ship the stuff I need. I'm losing my patience xD
