blue or black background?

I have a black background with black sand.

That being said, I think Im may get a dark green background so it looks a little more natural. The black background and black sand make the tank really dark.

ateek- use vegetable oil or vaseline. it wont evaporate as fast.

I always like the look of the metallic blue, the light bounces of it and highlights the fish that much more. Also, black is one of the colors that absorbs light, and will not reflect it back into your tank...
