Blue Ram Breeding Behavior?

Agreed, your water is fine for A. cacatuoides as is. I believe borelii will also spawn succesfully in your water.

Hey Clurin, if you've got apisto Qs then Zman's the one to ask. He's bred more species of them than Jesus......well maybe not that many, but a bunch.

Thanks for the compliment mooman. I have bred a few (26 diff) Apistos and most of them were in the same water 7.5pH & 180ppm TDS. When I found the eggs not properly hatching I changed to RO water. There is no sense using it if you are getting viable spawns in your regular water. Yes it took a few years but you really have to keep a close eye on your breeders.

Zman, I'm currently maxed out on apistos. My Hongsloi are guarding wigglers, and if they raise them to release stage I will be looking to trade them out for the next challenge. I Have the option of vejita or macmasteri. Any advice on ease of breeding these two species/harem formation/differences in water preferences? They'll be going in a 20g long by themselves or with some pencil fish dithers (once they're in season and I can find them). I'm looking for easy to spawn species since my panduros are currently my PITA fish (can't get them to spawn for nothin). My water is 7.2 and 125ppm. I can get RO, but have to lug it in buckets. Any insight is appreciated.
