I tried search for the answer but I keep getting no matchs found. So here it goes. I have 2 blue rams and 6 neons. What else gets along with the rams? I'm looking for something on the different side.
I have Harlequin Rasboras and they work out nicely because they tend to stay towards the top of the tank. I also have guppies, albino cories and neons with mine.
black neons are great- probably the hardiest tetra I know, and look really nice with the Rams. A nice school of those, some rams, and an otto or two, and you'd have quite a spectacular tank.
The size of your aquarium is the true limiting factor. Pretty much any community or peacful fish will get along with blue rams. I know they do fine with discus and angels, but both of those grow to large for your aquarium. Ottos and cories would do well in there.
Gouramies do well with blue rams, I don't know about the corys though. Most of the ram breeder sites I have visited have said that rams aren't that fond of corys but will do well with otos. I think maybe because corys are very busy and are mostly on the bottom where the rams spend most of thier time....while otos are pretty secretive and generally mind thier own business..lol.
I have a pair of rams with two neon dwarf gourami and 3 otos...they all seem to get along fine.
