i hav a 7g cube tank set up for quite a while now. Its lightly planted with 2 some sort of stem plant, rotala, anubias nana and some other plant as midground.

Stock:-

-2shrimps
-6 river fish [dont know wat they're called
(will post a pic)]

I had a male betta in there, but it was terribly harassed so i took it out. I want advice from experienced aquarist who HAD/HAVE kept blue rams. I know its possible to house a pair of blue rams(1m + 1f) in a 7g but would they be happy?

where did you hear you can house a pair of blue rams in a 7 g?

no way..
the foot print and tank are too small for even one Blue ram let alone 2.

the minimum recommended tank is a 10 and IMO that is too small.

I couldnt imagine a pair of rams in a 7g ....they would bother each other all the time.

I would suggest getting a 20g long tank if you are wanting to keep a pair of rams and another school of smaller fish.

if your unidentified 'river fish' are aggressive enough to harass a betta, they will have no problems going after the rams as well. also, rams need an established tank and clean water, and preferably a person with a little more experience to take care of them in the way they require. first take some time and find out about the needs and requirements of the fish (and plants) you already have. when you've mastered that, you might be ready for a tank upgrade and more challenging fish.

mgamer, that is a question im asking myself. :grinyes: got 3 shrimps home wit me too, one was real big bout 1.5inch long but it jumped out and died on the floor. The other two are pretty small, like amano shrimps.

thanks lupin for the link. Honestly there isnt a link in his sig. Is it the "angelfish" "discus" and "gold severum" link?

the light-blue colored words in posts 5, 7, and 8 are all links to other things. when you scroll over them, they appear underlined and your arrow changes to a pointing finger.
