Which one would you choose for a first set of fish? I was thinking a group of four of them for my first(s). I know there are many that don't like either fish. A damsel is a damsel, right? So I can be swayed. I just thought they would make good first fish because of their hardiness and because they sometimes 'school'.

This time around I would like to go with a peaceful tank. Other fish that I would like to get are a pair of Bangaii cardinals, Firefish, and a Goby/Blenny. Other than that, I haven't thought much about it (less thinking=less temptation=less spending).

I prefer the blue reef chromis over the blue-green chromis myself. However, the larger, older blue reef chromis I've seen tend to lose most of their visual appeal once they reach a certain size. I really like them when they are small to medium in size, but after that they start to look a bit ugly.

I have 7 blue-green reef chromis in my 110 they get along well with the other fish(tangs-hippo,scopas, bristletooth tomini) . they also are active and readily come to the surface and take food from my hand

they will disappear when the lights go out (usually hiding in caves etc)

Have you had them very long? I ask because I've read on here that they start off getting along and then eventually 1 or 2 of them start to knock off the lesser ones.

I have a school of 9 and it looks great. Really placid and cheaper LFS sell blue reefs for 17.99 a pop!!

Cant you mix the blue-greeen and blues together??????
