Hello, has anyone got advice on how to treat velvet ( so I'm told) on a blue tang??
I have a 3' salt tank, including live rock and sand, A royal dotty back, a humbug, a breeding pair od tank rasied oscellaris clowns, and my latest addition the blue tang.
I got the Tang about a month ago, I know the owner of my lfs quite well and he quaranteed the fish for me as I don't have a qt tank.
within 2 days the tang got ich, which has since gone, but now there is little pin size white balls on his fins, as well as the gold/black dust all over his body.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do.
I treated the ich with formaldehide and freshwater dips, and it seems to work, but I just can't get rid of the other problem!!
He still eats like mad, and is always swimming around really happily with the humbug, or the clowns, so apart from the dots, he is in perfect health!!
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thankyou :dive2:
