"Blue Tetras" with Angelfish?

I am not that familiar with angels since I have never kept them, but they would have to be huge to eat my blue tetras. My tetras are bigger than my rasbora hets by far, and I cannot imagine an angel eating one of those ! Good luck.
 
Well you guys are making me want to try them. :) I only wish I could find them around here... The only places I seem them online are That Fish Place (out of stock) and Arizona Aquatic Gardens. Shipping is expensive though of course. If anyone knows a place in So. Cal lemme know.
 
I got mine from Pedro at Invertz Factory. Their shipping is very reasonable, sometimes even free. The fish he sent me were pretty good size and fairly inexpensive, and all arrived healthy. I have ordered fish from them on a few occasions, and have always had good luck with them. Good luck.
 
^ I ordered 10 from him yesterday, says they should get here by Friday. Ahhhh I'm so excited!
 
They're here!! They are floating in their bags right now in the tank. However, they seem to be quite young and small. I am very worried about them with the Angelfish.

Oh, dang. My Angel is already pecking at the bags they are in! He is eyeing them as food... Should I not release them? Now I'm afraid...
 
I am going to try putting the Angel in a tupperware dish floating in the tank while I release the tetras, so they all get comfortable and in their school before the Angel is released... think that would help? Ahh I'm nervous.
 
Okay. Did what I said! Everybody is released! Angel seems interested but they are getting out of the way. I hope this works out, they look great! Can't wait till they settle in a bit and I can take pics. :D
 
How big is the angel and how small are the tetras? My male blue tetra chased most of the other fish in his tank, but he never seemed to bother with the angle, corys or ottos. I think part of it was frustration, the water was on the alkaline side, so he was stuck with gravid females and could do nothing about it.
 
The angel is about 4 inches from top to bottom, he's decent size. The blue tetras are larger than I originally thought when I saw them in the bags. They're about an inch and a half, a little smaller than my rasboras.

Currently things seem to have settled and the Angel is completely ignoring them! Hooray!
