Yes it is Caridina cf. cantonensis "Blue Tiger" I have been keeping them for about a year and it is by far my favorite shrimp, but a little harder to keep than the regular Tiger Shrimp. They do well for me in temps of 73 to 75 degrees, PH 6.6, and TDS around 89ppm (RO water and ADA Amazonia substrate)
Oh man... Those are freaking sweet! What's the production ratio of blue to normal colored shrimp? These always have been and remain my 2nd favorite, right behind the crs.
I was told before I purchased these shrimp that I would see less of the blue and more "blond" young, but so far this is not the case unless they were talking about the very dark blue shrimp which are produced at much the same rate as the blond with a multitude of hues of blue as well.
So is is lots of light to deep blue and lesser amounts of Dark Blue and Blond in my experience.
