BN acting weird

I suppose all you can do now (if your params are as you stated) is watch and wait to see if he perks up or shows any physical signs of disease or parasite that someone can actually diagnose. Keep a close eye on him over the next few days..

Who knows,he may just be taking his time settling in to his new surroundings.

I agree that he is very handsome, I'm rootin for your lil guy..

:werd: I agree with what Juice said. Also, it might not even be a problem. Some BNs are just really shy. They are also SUPER sneaky, so he may be eating more than you think he is when you are not looking. ;)

I don't know how long they can go without eating but my BN is fine after the initial 2 weeks. Just give him time and makes sure there's food for him.

Looks like maybe he bumped his nose, or that could be where the jag nipped him. Keep the water clean, and keep an eye on him. :)

he now is being more social but he has this white spot around one of his bristles.... is this normal? i've never noticed it before

Hi, the white looks like a small fungal infection from the biting injury. You can get a bottled medication to clear it or just keep the water good and it should clear itself.

My BN never moves when the lights are on, they are nocturnal after all. Watch him at night I bet he'll move around lots. Also I notice the cave has bogwood. They graze on this to aid digestion and if it has algae on it he has no need to move, he has all he needs in his cave. Sounds like you've created the perfect home.

Sounds like you have an infection on your hands. I would get some good pics, and start a thread in the illness forum.
