My brown male BN has partly whitish cheek odontodes, "gill frills", is that normal or a sign of some disease? I've noticed only a couple times when given the plec's version of flipping me off before backing under wood so I haven't had a good look. It seems like just the outer ends.
He's ~3.5 inches, I've had him a year. He's a bit aggressive at feeding time to fend off sid & zebra loaches in a 75g. 6-8 months before I added him I had a columnaris outbreak & I'm worried it may be back or something new.
