Board up the windows...

make mini, in-tank hurricane shelters for them. Lol.

No I really dont think you could do much if there was one that looked set to destroy the house. Just seal the lid tight and hope there is enough water to keep it down.

Tornadoes

You're right, Joe, they hardly ever hit at night; and the nighttime ones are usually the most deadly.

I still have to say I'll take my midwest where I can get out of the reach of a tornado by moving a half mile out of it's path, rather than evacuate 100 miles inland!

i heard that this hurricane season new york and the northern east coast are suppose to get hit, anyone know about this?

Yeah, we're due for one soon, they've been saying...I was watching a special, did you know that if a hurricane of cat 3+ hit Manhattan head on, they'd be in deep doo-doo?

DO NOT evacuate to Florida:)

We have enough crazies down here as it is..

stockpile food and water...review your insurance documents...if you can afford insurance...hide in the closet...and don't forget your battery powered TV...the weatherman-of-doom is here to scare the life out of you

Hurricane season news coverage has officially begun!

Bud, what I love most about your warning is that hurricane season news COVERAGE has begun--they're making it into a dramatic series similart to watching the Vietnam War (it WAS a war, even if not declared by Congress) live on TV back in the day. Gosh, "will this hurricane hit this city full on? Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted!!"
Sigh . . . . don't know what my point is; guess I'm pointless. . . .
