Boiling Spawning Mops

So.. I made 2 spawning mops out of dark green acrylic yarn yesterday and boiled it for 4 hours or so last night and a couple more hours today. Am I supposed to boil it until the water is completly clear? Cuz it's still got a slight green cast to it. Sure seems to take a long time.... :thud:

They usually say to use a light color because there's less dye, but the darker ones look better. I would see if you just soak them in tap water if they still stain the water. If not they're probably safe.

Thanks, coupedefleur. I think I will try that. Maybe let it soak in a light colored bowl just to make sure it won't leach at normal temperature.
