Bolivian Ram eggs

Sweet! Keep us posted!

They moved the wigglers last night. When I looked in this morning Clyde was hovering over an empty rock and I thought he had an early breakfast. But Bonnie was guarding a little hole in the gravel that is now full of wigglers! More were fertilized this time. Hopefully they make it....

nope :( same as last time. They moved the wigglers mid-day and now they are gone.
Oh well - Hopefully they will breed in a couple of weeks and by then I'll have the breeding net to put them in.

Third times a charm (hopefully).
SinceI last posted I've had an outbreak of planaria and a really bad outbreak of blue green algae. Hey - I'm new at this :) Right when I got that under control and they went at it again. Similar to the last time - eggs, moved wigglers to a place right in front where I could see them - then moved them again. This time it's been two more days and they are still guarding a spot further back in the tank. I can't see anything - but I'm hopeful!

So I have lots of little fishies now! They are just starting to wiggle/swim away and the parents are continually grabbing them and spitting them back into the pile. They look like they are foraging in the algae on the rocks.

I fed them some First Bites with a turkey baster. I also have some brine shrimp hatching that I can give to them. Hopefully that will do because I can't really tell if they are eating yet.
