I am thinking about getting these. I have a 29g community tank occupied with a school of neon tetras, rummynose tetras and zebra danios.

Are they delicate fish like german blue rams? What are the water parameters they can live in? Also, i have driftwood and a human made stone cave so they would have places to establish a hideout. Do they need pairs? or can you have individual ones?

Any info on these guys would be helpful

I have limited experience since I've only had mine for about a month. They'll do good in a 29g community (that's what mine are in). If you can find a pair that would be best, as I have two who squable constantly as I think they're both males. Provide plenty of dividing territory lines like driftwood, plants and caves. They're probably my favorite fish due to their cichlid personalities. I have sand as my base and they love picking up mouthfulls of it and spitting it at other fish.

Bolivians are easier to keep than GBRs. They grow a little larger too. You could either get a pair or keep one by itself, it's up to you. They won't bother your other fish. I've found Bolivians to be pretty adaptable when it comes to water perameters. I've kept them in pH 7.0, and when I moved over the summer they readily adapted to pH 8.0. Like any other fish, they thrive in clean water with good filtration and regular water changes. :)

right now in my 29g i have:

10 Zebra danios
8 Rummynose Tetras
9 Neon Tetras

Could i even put a bolivian ram in my tank?

i think that you could but it's pushing it. Rams don't get very big at all and there will be no aggestion factor in the tank....I say go for it!

I'd also say yes, just stay on top of you WC's and test often, although they are a little hardier the GBRs or golds, they are still more sensitive then your other inhabitants. I would probably get just one, and you said you have adequate hiding spots so things should work out great. The upside to Bolivians is that they're a bit hardier but they don't quite have the color that Blues do, they're personality certainly makes up for it though :)
Good luck!
