Bolivian Ram Tankmates

Hey, is this the 45 that you picked up from me? :)

Anyway, I agree that you should move the odd one out to a different tank. I don't think that your 20 will be overstocked if you move the ram in there.

I actually had a really similar situation a few years back. I was keeping 4 Bolivians in a 29 gallon, and although none of them ever decided to pair, there was one that got picked on quite a bit by the other 3. I ended up moving the 4th fish to a 20 gallon with some gold pristellas and a BN pleco, and it lived there peacefully for a couple more years.

For the record, this is why I advise against keeping more than one pair in a 29. ;) LOL

If you need help sexing them, just post some picks of their fins and vents (bellies!) and we can help......

Yep! The 20 gallon in question is also one I got from you. :D

I've been trying to get pics of all of them, and I will post pics as soon as I manage to get pics.

I've been watching them a lot the past couple days. I am almost positive that I have at least one male. He seems to have claimed the entire front of the tank as his. He also won't let the other two get near any food that sinks to the bottom until he's had his fill. The other two may be a male and female. It doesn't seem like two of them have paired up now. All three are showing fairly good colouring now. But there is definite discord among the three of them.
