I tired to pick up 2 females for my 2 Bolivian Ram males, but I think I ended up with 1 male and 1 female. Does anyone know if it's going to be a problem that I now have 3 males and 1 female? They are in a 65 gallon community tank with no aggressive fish. There is a good amount of cover and they pretty much share the bottom part of the tank with 6 corries.

It might be a problem, but since sexing them is so difficult when they are young, perhaps you could just wait for a few months and see what develops? She might pick a mate and you could return the odd men... (I like that!)

I've found bolivians to have very weak pair bonds...so I'd keep the extras - should be fine in your big old tank! I know a keeper who advises 5 or 6 bolivians even in a tanks as small as a 29...they form pairs, break up, and semi-school when given the right numbers. They may show and charge at each other, but I've never seen actual damage done.

I'm looking at getting a bolivian ram for my tank. Do they do better in a male and female pair, or is it ok to have only one in the tank?
They like company, better get at least 2 and since you didn't say what size tank you have, I hope it is at least a 20g long...
I have a 15g. Is this too small for even one bolivian ram? I currently have 3 tetra in it, and I won't be looking at getting another fish for a few weeks.
I just bought 3 yesterday from a breeder so now I have 6 in a 46 gallon bowfront. they seem to be getting along fine. you should be fine with 2 in a 15 gallon mine seem very peaceful.
