Bolivian Rams and Dither Fish

Hi,

I have a 35 gallon tank with 1 red-tailed black shark, a clown pleco and 2 Bolivian Rams. My question really is do my Rams really need dither fish to feel comfortable? I do not want any other fish in my tank unless it is necessary but I do not want them to feel too uncomfortable.

I've never kept my bolivians without, so I'm not sure if they'd be shy or not. I can tell you with dithers, mine are quite brave.
