Bolivian Rams

Gabe no doubt, I meant to say 1000gal pond, so they may breed, not sure yet I here that is how they are produced in Asia, so I may have a chance with them.. But yep I will make some money off of them, basically they are pretty large and are a highly sought fish in this area usually adults go for 30 bucks a piece..

Pearl my water is very hard here basically liquid rock and is why i stick with the more hardy higher hardness type of fish as for my Rams they were bred up in Indy which is basically the same water hardness if not harder, what you will need to do is find someone in your area breeding them and obtain them from a source like that so that they are already used to those water perimeters..

Oh, how I hear you on the water conditions around here (we are just across the river a bit near Madison) - I can't get over how hard the water is. I'll be watching the forum to see if you have any luck with your roselines, am wanting to add a few to my 125 eventually.

Cool deal ZivaD yeah the only problem so far with the Roselines was when they were younger at 2" I lost a couple of them but now I have 11 of them going strong and they are growing so fast.. I do hope they spawn.. Def say something to me if I get fry from them because they will be going pretty fast and I am sure I will post the results here as well.. I will hook you up with some..

Wow $30 a piece. That's allot of money for a schooling species. Nice looking fish. Had to look them up. Should breed in you pond bro. Also I knew your pond wasn't 100 gallons. That would be odd to put them from a 120 gallon aquarium into a 100 gallon pond lol. They should breed good in there. Just probably have to keep them solo in there.

Yep so that is the plan plus I intend to place a large pump moving some water as to recreate a fast flowing stream due to their natural habitat.. Well not too fast LOL..

LOL there gonna be like has this guy lost his mind we can't get off this wall now. That or you create a whirl pool if you position the pumps correctly lol.

LOL no doubt i guess my main goal would be to just have a pump that is aiming an outlet of a pump where the water is just hitting it like a jet stream from a water house type deal..

LOL sometimes i wonder about myself..

I wish I only wondered about myself SOMETIMES!! LOL

I want an outdoor pond! I get jealous of everyone's outdoor breeding projects! Maybe one day! That would be really cool to have the roseline's in a pond...I never thought about it....
