Bored w/ single fish

For those of you who keep just one large fish in a tank, don't you get bored of it? I had an oscar in tank by himself for a couple of years, and got bored of just looking at one fish. I switched to a community tank, and I like it better. The fishes are more active and I enjoy looking at my aquarium w/ different species of fishes living peacefully together.

While I too enjoy the dynamics of a community tank, I had a single JD in a tank for >10 years - was never bored.

I just got a big enough tank so my large fish didn't have to be on their own

if the single fish is in a large enough tank, there's no boredom.

Nope...just love the fishies, no matter how many or how few...
