I love Flag fish but the tend to be a little grumpy for a tank with guppies, I think they do better with Gambusia and some minnows.

im going to third the idea of harlequin rasboras, great fish especially in a planted tank, not that hard to breed eaither, gotta love those little guys, they are pretty tranquil to, as in they dont fin nip, perfect community tank addition

if you think that your 20g tank is boring you didn't see mine, I have 2g tank with a betta

wow, thanx for all the imput. I think I like the german rams idea the most. They are pretty colorful, but I am gonna look all those fish up, and then I will think abouh it from there. ( I had no idea I had so many options :D)

I have a recently setup 20g planted tank as well. Here is my fishload:
3 x corydorus julii
1 x SAE
3 x otocinclus
10 x harlequin rasbora
2 x red flame(?) gourami

I must say that they're all fine to keep in there except perhaps the gouramis(which I may return since they're munching my cabomba to shreds).

Mollies, platties, and swordtail like the same water conditions as guppies and are livebearers as well. mollies are especially playful and love to rub up against eachother and they are fun to watch grazing around the aquarium. Mollies generally wont actively eat their young either.

Sorry, I've never owned a livebearer that didn't eat their own fry. In fact I am willing to bet fry not being eaten is the exception and not the norm.
