I purchased this botia from a LFS. It is a wonderfull looking botia. However when we got it home, we realized how thin he was. The sales guy mentioned we would need to fatten him up, but I did not realize how much. You can only see how thin he is if you look at him straight on and his markings make it difficult to tell what the shape of his body is. The top part of his body is almost sunken in, while the bottom half is normal. What could the problem be. He is also slow to move. We have a wide range of foods that we provide. Is this parasites (nothing is visible to the eye) or is he a fish that has something very wrong with him. He has to be eating something becuase we have had him since Monday and his condition has not deteriorated any more than what it is. THe store we got him from has a guarentee for five days after purchase, should we return him, or try and help him. He was $16.00 so not a fish to just pass off.
