Bottom brace Importance

Hey, Thanks for the replies everyone.

I work at petsmart and they cracked it when moving it. I geuss i'll contact top fin and have them send me a new bottom rim. I can get the tank for about 200 and the oak stand for about 150. So if the tank is fixable, it'll make a great deal.

It may be that the only reason that there is a bottom brace on tanks at all is because it is the same plastic piece as the top. It's far cheaper to only produce one plastic piece twice per tank than two different ones. I wouldn't think twice about filling that tank up but I suppose it is better to be cautious.
