Bought a great mystery snail, will my fish bug it?

so i went to buy 2 ghost shrimp yesterday and decided to buy a mystery snail at the same time. what a great addition to my tank! the snail is purple and very active. none of my fish seem to bug the snail at all but i was reading that some types of barbs may get at snails. i have 2 cherry barbs that were a gift and i was thinking of bringing back to the fish store anyways, but they are really calm fish and haven't even noticed the snail.

also, as far as overstocking issues, does a snail count as another fish? i have quite a few fish in there right now (1 guppy, 3 platies, 2 penguin tetras, 2 cherry barbs, 1 amano shrimp, 2 ghost shrimp). like i stated before i have been thinking about bringing the penguins and cherries back as they weren't really what i wanted when i started my tank.
 
each snail needs about 2.5g of tank space. For their size, they are big waste producers. He will be fine with yoru stocking. I keep mine iwht cherry barbs with no issues.
 
I think the fish will be fine with the snail. They may pester a bit, but they shouldn't kill him.
Mystery snails produce a LOT of waste, and so it definitely counts as another fish.
What size is the tank? A 10 gal?
 
my guppies, platys & swords pest the heck out of my briggs by picking at their tentacles so I keep them in a separate tank but most people keep the snails in with fish with no problems. I've also seen a brigg catch & eat a fry! and with your livebearing fish it could happen to you too. I didn't think it was possible either.

I somewhat doubt the snail CAUGHT the fry. It's very possible the fry was dead and the snail decided to have a bit of a meat feast.
 
Yeah, I've got endlers and brigs in BOTH of my tanks, and I've never had an issue. I would be willing to bet the fry was either dead, or BARELY alive. A fully healthy fry could zip away from a lumbering brig easy.

You make briggs sound like big clumsy oafs. :p My briggsies glide around the tank light as a feather and "parachute" off the glass floating like a delicate leaf on a gentle breeze before gliding onto the sand without causing a stir. :p
