Bought Ferts! Read Sticky... confused :(

See... I just can't find a 1/16th teaspoon lol. So I converted them all up and combined them and now I made it so I need 1/8th a teaspoon for every 10 gallons... cant find one of those... will a pinch work?

PS: As far as for the gardening, there are several different combos out there on the amount you need.... hence why I figured it would be ok to do a somewhat near combo of them...

This system has worked fine for me. I hope it'll do the same for you. The hard part is finding something to measure everything.

Really? I am using a 1/8 tsp for my measuring.

I've never really seen a case where exact levels are necessary. Most people tweak methods to fit their own tank requirements and schedule. Do so adjusting and see what works. But in reality you'll probably need more than just "a pinch" ;)
 
Thanks guys! Ferts were added today and now all the plants have bubbles on them... how will ferts effect my fish? I have feeder guppies in the tank at the moment. Couple blue rams in another planted tank... will the ferts hurt them?
 
Ferts will only become dangerous at excessive levels (i.e. 10x the recommended concentration). Doing regular large water changes will prevent accumulation.

good point also is to pick a schedule and stick with it.
consistency is key, so dont go making changes every other day with photo period and fert amounts. keep it the same so there arent too many variables and you'll be able to identify and isolate any problems easier.
your plants will thank you
