Hi all, new to this post and had a few questions. First, I have a GSP, and a black mollie in the tank now. it hasn't cycled yet (it's been up and running for 3 days now). the SG is 1.005 and i was wanting to add a mono argentus into the tank before it cycled and just have those fish in there. My puffer isn't aggressive to the mollie and just wondered it having those 3 in the same tank would be ok, size wise. any suggestions would be apprieciated.

Fully stocking a tank before it's cycled isn't a good idea, especially with having a puffer as they are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrites. Not the best choice for cycling a tank.

As the GSP grows it may not be as peaceful to the molly. Depends on the personality of the puffer. Monos grow to around 12 inches.

What size is the tank?

29 gallon - with a penguin 660 powerhead and a 30 gallon size outside filter. sorry it was late last night and forgot to put tank size

29gal is fine for only one GSP. The puffer will eventually need full marine, while the others won't, so you'll have to do this anyway if you want to keep him. As they get older, the GSP won't tolerate any tankmates. I'd leave things as they are while you get another, larger tank set up and cycled for the others, if you want to keep them all.
